Tariff Impacts on Vendor Pricing

As global trade policies continue to evolve, we are committed to informing our senior living operators about potential tariffs that may impact cost and imported good availability. We are updating this page regularly with pricing information pertinent to our members.

The CPS team has negotiated and mitigated these tariff impacts as much as possible. Please reach out to your CPS team for any questions or email cps@carepurchasing.com.
Administrative Services
The Image Group
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. China is the primary source for many items. Tariffs are expected to impact products in the next few months.
Staples
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Staples has diversified their product assortment and is less reliant on China and other countries impacted by tariffs. Tariff impact remains unpredictable.
Clinical Services
McKesson
- A 12% average tariff pricing increase will be impacting 600 McKesson products. Effective date is 6/1/2025. McKesson has communicated impacts directly to each member. However if you have questions, please reach out to your CPS team member or cps@carepurchasing.com.
Omnicare Pharmacy, a CVS Health Company
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Omnicare expects an incremental increase to drug costs that will potentially lead to reduced production and drug shortages.
Culinary Services
Sysco
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Agricultural tariffs are not expected to impact U.S. businesses anytime soon.
Libbey Glass
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. 90% of Libbey products are made in the U.S.
Supply America
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. The raw materials used in Supply America production are often sourced from countries that are being effected by tariffs. This will impact pricing and availability.
Gordon Food Service
- 10% increase in Canadian sourced GFS Brand Coffee (ground).
Cheney Brothers
- No tariff impacts to members at this time.
Culligan International
- No tariff impacts to members at this time.
Royal Cup Coffee
- Tariffs have impacted Royal Cup Coffee. Current CPS members who are utilizing this program have been notified.
Environmental Services
1Concier
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. 1Concier sources 35% of their products from China. They anticipate a tariff price increase in the future.
HD Pro
- No tariff impacts to members at this time.
Cintas
- No tariff impacts to members at this time.
Hillyard
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Any products produced by Hillyard, price increases have been mitigated until March 2026
Essity
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Essity's professional hygiene production assets are located in the United States, however raw materials may experience inflationary pressures due to tariffs.
Kimberly-Clark Professional
- No tariff impacts to members at this time.
Health Care, Therapy, and Exercise Equipment
Arjo
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Arjo is a global manufacturer, which allows them to adjust their processes as needed.
LifeTec
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Lifetec reports that tariffs are unlikely to affect many physical therapy supplies. However there have been a few price increases in capital goods, such as fitness equipment. More information will be available in 90 days.
HUR
- Equipment arriving in the U.S. will have a 10-20% tariff. Exact percent will be determined upon equipment arrival. All HUR equipment is manufactured in Finland; tariff impact is from the EU. Equipment that has been purchased but not delivered will incur a 5% tariff surcharge. If tariff situation is resolved before equipment arrives in the U.S., this surcharge and any tariff incurred will be removed from the final invoice. To help customers with this tariff, HUR is changing their quote validity for 14 days, reducing from the previous 30 days.
New Construction and Renovation
Direct Supply
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Direct Supply anticipates a price increase in the coming weeks due to the impact anticipated with all manufacturing and distributing partners.
Shaw Contract Group
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Shaw is currently leveraging inventory in U.S. based warehouse.
Plant Operations
Ferguson
- No tariff impacts to members at this time. Ferguson acknowledges that pricing is volatile, and is dependent on their manufacturing partners.
