Independent/Home Study Course
for Activity Professionals

Complete the MEPAP Part 1 through an Independent/Home Study course now offered. While enjoying the convenience of working at your own pace without a time consuming commute to the classroom, this program is designed to meet the busy schedules of those individuals who work full or part time and have limited access to the traditional class setting. This course format is right for anyone seeking national certification or simply wanting to advance his or her career.
The course is taught by an instructor with over 21 years experience in the field of Activities and Therapeutic Recreation in a wide capacity from Activity Assistant to Certified Consultant.
Upon completion of this course, Activity Professionals will fulfill one of the educational components developed by NCCAP to be used toward becoming nationally certified as an Assistant (AAC), Director (ADC), or Consultant (ACC).

- Recognition of the value of leisure for the aging population
- MDS coding, assessment, and documentation
- Development and implementation of care plans
